Creature Kitchen uses a discovery-based stocking system. When you first explore the kitchen, you only have access to a few starter items, such as the initial loaf of bread, basic flour, salt, and water.
Once an ingredient is discovered or unlocked through a room key or environmental puzzle, it registers to your house inventory. Discovered dry goods automatically restock on the shelves inside the endless pantry hallway, while perishable goods appear inside the refrigerator.
If you burn an ingredient in the frying pan or turn raw items into slop inside the oven, you do not soft-lock your save. Exiting the room, reloading, or walking deeper down the hallway resets pantry items so you can retrieve fresh replacements.
Yard Mushrooms and Missable Ingredients
To unlock the Fully Stocked achievement, you must gather all indoor kitchen items and collect all 5 distinct mushroom types scattered outside the cabin.
- Riverbank Mushrooms: Check along the river path and near the base of large trees outside the cabin.
- Cabin Perimeter Mushrooms: Search the grass near the porch and along the exterior side walls.
- The Red Spotted Mushroom: A distinct red mushroom with white spots grows along the trail near the river. Cooking this mushroom in any recipe will trigger the Stomach Problems achievement.
