The Stomach Problems achievement in Creature Kitchen (The Rat Zone) unlocks when you deliberately cook a meal using a poisonous red-and-white spotted toadstool (Amanita) instead of edible mushrooms. Its in-game achievement prompt reads: "Make poor choices in produce."
Achieving this requires locating the toxic mushroom in the forest and using it inside the oven in a compatible mushroom recipe.
Where to Find the Toxic Mushroom
Unlike the four edible mushroom varieties growing around the immediate yard near the porch, the toxic toadstool is tucked away further back along the map boundary.
- Exit the cabin and head out toward the river where you encounter Hopper the frog.
- Follow the riverside path upstream toward the area where your character originally spawned at the beginning of the game.
- Check the base of the trees along the riverbank.
- Pick up the bright red mushroom covered in white spots.
Collecting this mushroom is also mandatory for the Fully Stocked achievement, which requires discovering all five mushroom types in the garden and woods. Once gathered, this ingredient registers in your kitchen collection alongside standard produce.
How to Trigger the Stomach Problems Achievement
Simply throwing the raw toadstool into the oven alone will produce generic mistake food or slop, which may not consistently trigger the specific achievement trigger. To ensure the unlock registers:
- Bring the red-spotted mushroom to your kitchen prep area.
- Slice the mushroom using the knife and cutting board to produce mushroom slices.
- Prepare a standard recipe that explicitly calls for mushroom ingredients, such as Mushroom Soup (Recipe 12) or Mushroom Stir Fry (Recipe 14).
- For Mushroom Soup, combine broth, potato slices, and mushroom slices made from the toxic mushroom in the oven. For Mushroom Stir Fry, mix butter, pasta, and the toxic mushroom slices.
- Close the oven door to complete the dish.
As soon as the oven finishes cooking the toxic creation, the Stomach Problems achievement will pop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I feed the toxic dish to creatures?
Creatures only accept their requested dishes and specific preferred ingredient combinations. Offering toxic meals or incorrect recipes will generally result in the critter refusing the food or eating it as non-qualifying scrap.
Will using the toadstool void any other achievements?
No. Achievements in Creature Kitchen are not mutually exclusive. Cooking a toxic dish does not lock you out of Master Chef or Cryptozoologist. In fact, picking up the toxic toadstool is required to complete the ingredient checklist for the Fully Stocked achievement.
